Position Overview
As a
Social Media Manager
at Vertex IT Solutions, you will play a key role in
strategizing, managing, and scaling social media for one or more tech products and brands
. You will be responsible not just for creating engaging content, but for
using social media as a business growth channel
—supporting lead generation, brand positioning, community building, and client engagement for tech-driven offerings.
You will collaborate closely with marketing, design, sales, and product teams to develop platform-specific strategies that align with business objectives, resonate with technical and non-technical audiences, and reflect the positioning of different tech companies/products we manage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy, Positioning & Execution
- Develop and execute
end-to-end social media strategies
for multiple tech brands and products across platforms such as
LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit/communities where relevant
. - Position Vertex and partner tech brands as
credible players in software, SaaS, DevOps, cloud, AI, and enterprise solutions
. - Plan and manage
campaigns that support business goals
such as lead generation, product launches, hiring campaigns, and client engagement. - Create and maintain
social media calendars
, aligning content with product roadmaps, releases, events, and business priorities.
2. Content Creation & Brand Storytelling
- Brief, coordinate, or create high-quality content including posts, carousels, short-form videos, stories, threads, case snippets, tech explainers, and thought-leadership content.
- Adapt tone and messaging for
different audiences
(founders, CTOs, engineers, HR buyers, decision-makers) and different tech brands. - Ensure all content reflects brand guidelines and communicates a
clear, consistent value proposition
for each tech offering.
3. Community Management & Business-Focused Engagement
- Build and nurture
online communities
around our tech products and services—especially on LinkedIn and other relevant B2B platforms. - Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner, with a focus on converting interest into
leads, calls, or demos
where applicable. - Identify and engage with influencers, industry leaders, and relevant communities to expand reach and authority.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to
route qualified leads
from social media to the right sales channels.
4. Analytics, Performance & Business Impact
- Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics: reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR, conversions, leads generated, and campaign ROI.
- Use analytics tools (e.g.,
Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar
) to gain insights and optimize content, targeting, and posting strategies. - Run A/B tests on creatives, formats, hooks, and CTAs to continuously improve performance.
- Translate social media performance into
business language
—showing impact on pipeline support, brand visibility, and market positioning.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Brand Alignment
- Work closely with
marketing, product, sales, HR, and design teams
to ensure social media activity supports broader marketing, hiring, and product goals. - Partner with technical and product stakeholders to convert complex technical concepts into
clear, engaging content
. - Support
employer branding efforts
to attract tech talent through social media campaigns.
6. Innovation, Trends & Growth
- Stay updated on
social media trends, platform updates, algorithm changes, and best practices
—especially in the B2B tech and SaaS space. - Explore and propose new channels, formats (e.g., LinkedIn newsletters, Twitter Spaces, webinars, YouTube shorts), and strategic initiatives for growth.
- Suggest and experiment with
paid social campaigns
(e.g., LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads) where needed to boost reach and lead generation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in
marketing, Communications, Media Sciences, Business
, or a related field. - 3–4+ years of professional experience
managing social media for
tech companies, SaaS products, or IT services
(B2B experience strongly preferred). - Proven track record of:
- Managing and growing social media accounts for one or more
technology brands - Contributing to
lead generation, inbound interest, or business outcomes
through social media - Strong command of major social media platforms and analytics tools (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook/Instagram, X, YouTube, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
- Experience planning and executing
social media campaigns with measurable goals
(awareness, engagement, lead gen, event promotion, product launches). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts in clear, engaging language.
- Creative mindset with an eye for
visual storytelling, hooks, and content formats
that perform well on social platforms. - Experience running and optimizing
paid campaigns
on social media is a strong plus. - Ability to work
collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment
