Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Upwork Bidder. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of how to bid strategically, write persuasive proposals, and manage ongoing communication with potential clients to close deals. As a key member of the business development team, you will represent our agency on Upwork and potentially other platforms like Freelancer, Guru, PeoplePerHour, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Bidding
- Search for relevant jobs and projects on Upwork in fields such as AI, Web Development, Mobile Apps, Chatbots, Automation, and Digital Marketing.
- Analyze client requirements to ensure relevance and shortlist the most appropriate projects.
- Craft custom proposals that are well-written and persuasive, tailored to each job post.
- Set up job alerts and continuously optimize your bidding strategy to enhance visibility and win rate.
- Client Communication
- Handle both written and verbal communication with clients professionally.
- Ask insightful, intelligent questions to gather the full project scope and avoid miscommunication.
- Participate in video calls to establish rapport with potential clients and convert leads into deals.
- Maintain consistent follow-ups to keep conversations alive and push for successful closures.
- Documentation & Project Coordination
- Maintain a proper log of proposals, responses, and pipeline updates to track progress.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams to prepare estimates and delivery timelines for projects.
- Help prepare onboarding documents, proposals, or presentations when required.
- Must-Have Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience bidding on Upwork with a proven track record of winning projects independently.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, to articulate proposals, emails, and project details effectively.
- Strong understanding of IT services such as AI/ML, SaaS, Web/Mobile Development, Chatbots, Automation, SEO, and Digital Ads is a plus.
- Proven ability to write custom proposals (no copy-paste templates). Must be capable of crafting personalized bids that align with client needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with
software agencies or digital service
companies.
