Role Summary
We're looking for a proven Upwork Bidder with 2+ years of hands-on experience. You'll drive consistent, high-quality proposal submissions and convert opportunities into closed projects. This role covers the full cycle from identifying leads and writing proposals to coordinating discovery calls and supporting negotiations.
Strong communication skills and a track record of Upwork wins are must-haves.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify relevant jobs/leads on Upwork daily, maintaining a healthy pipeline.
- Craft tailored, high-converting proposals (no copy-paste templates).
- Coordinate discovery calls, prepare agendas, capture requirements, and follow up.
- Collaborate with delivery/technical teams on solutions, estimates, and milestones.
- Track proposal status, win/loss reasons, and KPIs in CRM/Upwork workspace.
- Negotiate terms within defined guardrails and support contract finalization.
- Consistently meet/exceed daily, weekly, and monthly bidding/closure goals.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years proven Upwork bidding experience (please share your Upwork profile).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Excellent written and spoken English clear, concise, and persuasive.
- Demonstrated success in hitting bidding and closure targets.
- Strong understanding of Upwork algorithms, visibility, and client expectations.
- Ability to translate client needs into scopes, deliverables, and timelines.
- Proficiency in CRM, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience in our core service areas (Web/App Dev, Design, Marketing, Data/AI).
- Familiarity with proposal frameworks, value pricing, and objection handling.
- Content samples (winning cover letters, project breakdowns, milestone plans).
KPIs & Targets (Illustrative)
- Qualified Proposals/Day: 8–12
- Interview Rate: 20–30%
- Win Rate: 15–25%
- Monthly Bookings: As assigned by BD Lead
