Role Overview:

SALT Pakistan is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant & Procurement Officer to manage all financial, taxation, and procurement functions of our premium QSR outlet.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the QSR or hospitality sector, with hands-on expertise in accounts management, supplier coordination, internal auditing, and tax filing (FBR & PRA).

This role is critical to ensure financial transparency, cost control, and smooth supply chain operations — key pillars of SALT's commitment to quality and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting & Financial Management


• Maintain daily financial records including sales, purchases, payments, and petty cash.


• Reconcile cash, POS, and bank transactions on a daily and weekly basis.


• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and expense reports.


• Ensure all accounting entries are posted accurately in software (QuickBooks / Odoo / Foodics).


• Monitor outlet-level expenses to ensure alignment with approved budgets.

  1. Procurement & Vendor Management


• Manage supplier relationships, purchase orders, and inventory replenishment.


• Negotiate best prices and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining SALT's quality standards.


• Maintain updated records of approved suppliers, quotations, and purchase histories.


• Coordinate with kitchen and operations for forecasting and material planning.

  1. Audit & Compliance


• Conduct periodic internal audits of cash handling, stock levels, and vendor payments.


• Verify supplier invoices, GRNs, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.


• Monitor wastage, stock variance, and ensure corrective actions are taken.


• Ensure compliance with FBR, PRA, and local tax laws.

  1. Taxation & Legal Filings


• Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns, income tax withholding statements, and annual tax reports.


• Maintain proper documentation for audit trails and compliance checks.


• Liaise with auditors and tax consultants when required.

  1. Cross-Department Coordination


• Collaborate with operations, HR, and management to ensure financial discipline.


• Support cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality standards.

Requirements:


• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Master's preferred).


• 3+ years' experience in accounting/procurement for a QSR, restaurant chain, or hotel.


• Strong command of QuickBooks, Odoo, or equivalent ERP software.


• Practical understanding of FBR/PRA filing, audit practices, and inventory control.


• Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.


• High integrity, discipline, and attention to detail.
