The Senior Manager Operations will lead and oversee all waste management activities in District South, ensuring smooth execution of daily operations, compliance with municipal standards, and optimization of resources. This role involves managing large-scale workforce operations, vehicle fleet utilization, logistics, HR coordination, and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders including municipal authorities, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

Waste Collection & Disposal
– Ensure timely collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste across all UCs in District South.

·
Fleet Management
– Oversee deployment and utilization of compactors, loaders, and support vehicles; monitor fuel consumption and route efficiency through VTMS.

·
Route Optimization
– Plan and monitor operational routes to maximize coverage, reduce overlaps, and ensure cost-effective waste clearance.

·
Bin & Beat Management
– Supervise placement, collection, and clearance schedules of bins and designated beats to meet municipal cleanliness standards.

·
Warehouse & Material Handling
– Manage issuance/receiving of consumables, spare parts, PPEs, and ensure proper inventory control.

·
Vehicle Maintenance
– Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime of fleet.

·
Field Supervision & Monitoring
– Conduct regular inspections to ensure staff presence, machinery performance, and adherence to operational SOPs.

·
Stakeholder Coordination
– Deal with municipal authorities (KMC, DMC, SSWMB), law enforcement, and community representatives to ensure smooth operations.

·
Service Complaints Management
– Establish quick response mechanisms to resolve public complaints, escalations, and service gaps.

·
Emergency & Contingency Planning
– Lead operational continuity during strikes, breakdowns, heavy rains, or citywide disruptions.

·
Reporting & Analytics
– Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance reports (fuel usage, route completion, bin clearance, downtime).

·
Cost & Resource Control
– Monitor resource utilization, fuel averages, and operational costs to achieve efficiency targets.

Qualifications & Experience:

·
Master's or Bachelor's
degree in Business Administration, or related field.

·
5+ years
of senior-level position, preferably in waste management, or service industry.

· Experience managing large teams and multi-shift operations.

· Proficiency in
MS Office,
and
VTMS/GPS
monitoring tools.
