We're Hiring – Import Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the complete import cycle for all products and goods.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for timely deliveries.
  • Handle
    customs clearance procedures
    and maintain strong liaison with customs authorities.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate import documentation, records, and reports for management.
  • Monitor and track shipments, resolving any issues or delays proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations, company policies, and government requirements.
  • Negotiate with freight forwarders and logistics partners to optimize costs and service quality.
  • Identify potential risks in the import process and implement preventive measures.
  • Mentor and manage a small team by providing guidance, training, and feedback.
  • Collaborate with finance for payments, duties, and taxes related to imports.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration
    , or related field.
  • 3-5 years
    of proven experience in imports, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures, HS codes, and import regulations.
  • Proficiency in
    MS Office & ERP systems
    (SAP/Oracle preferred).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple shipments and deadlines under pressure.
  • Leadership qualities with prior team management experience.
