Role Description

The
Technical Trainer
will be responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating technical training programs for engineers, inspectors, and technicians. The trainer must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in
NDT techniques
,
ASME codes
,
Power Plant efficiency
, and
Technical Report preparation
. The role ensures that participants acquire practical skills and a strong theoretical foundation aligned with industry standards and certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Delivery & Facilitation:

Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on:

  1. ANST Level II PT (Penetrant Testing) & UT (Ultrasonic Testing)
  2. ASME B31.1 – Power Piping
  3. Heat Rate & Efficiency Improvement in Power Plants
  4. Technical Report Writing & Interpretation

Ensure training sessions are interactive, structured, and in compliance with international standards and TUV Austria's quality guidelines.

Deliver both
in-person and online sessions
as required.

Curriculum Development:

  • Develop and update training materials, presentations, manuals, and evaluation tools in accordance with ASNT, ASME, and industrial practices.
  • Collaborate with the Training Department to continuously improve course content based on feedback and new technological trends.

Assessment & Certification:

  • Conduct participant assessments, practical evaluations, and written tests.
  • Prepare training reports and feedback summaries for management and participants.
  • Ensure documentation and certification processes comply with TUV Austria's training standards.

Technical Expertise & Support:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to trainees during hands-on exercises.
  • Support the development of new technical courses related to inspection, testing, and power plant operations.
  • Assist in identifying training needs for clients and proposing customized programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • Certifications:
  • Minimum ANST Level II PT & UT certification
    (Level III preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of
    ASME B31.1
    and related piping standards.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum
    3–5 years
    of relevant industrial experience in NDT, inspection, and power plant operations.
  • Proven experience in
    technical training, coaching, or course facilitation
    .
  • Preferred:
    Exposure to ISO/IEC 17024-based training and assessment systems.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Practical knowledge of testing equipment, tools, and inspection methodologies.
  • Ability to prepare detailed
    technical reports
    and guide others in structured documentation.
  • Excellent time management and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in
    MS Office
    , PowerPoint, and online training tools (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.).
