Assistant Quality Assurance

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Quality Assurance to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the QA team in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of our products and services. You'll assist with testing, documentation, and reporting to help maintain our high standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the QA Team: Assist in the execution of test plans and test cases for software, hardware, or product releases.
  • Conduct Manual Testing: Perform manual tests to identify bugs, defects, and inconsistencies. This includes functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Document and Report: Accurately document test results, including detailed steps to reproduce issues, and log them in our bug tracking system.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain Records: Help maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Provide Feedback: Communicate findings and provide constructive feedback on product quality to the QA Lead.

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a quality assurance or testing role is a plus, but we are open to training the right candidate.
  • Skills:
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and a curious mindset.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Aptitude: A basic understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies is beneficial.
  • Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana is a plus.
