Manager Supply Chain

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Manager Supply Chain to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations — from procurement and vendor management to logistics and inventory control. The ideal candidate will ensure that all materials and products are efficiently sourced, delivered on time, and meet quality and cost standards.

You'll play a vital role in optimizing supply chain performance, implementing process improvements, and supporting Makkays' growth objectives through strong leadership and analytical insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee procurement, warehousing, logistics, and inventory functions.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Manage supplier performance, negotiations, and long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee demand planning, forecasting, and material management.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and import/export regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Technical, and Admin teams.
  • Monitor logistics performance and delivery schedules.
  • Track and report key supply chain KPIs — cost savings, lead time, vendor performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and productivity.
  • Mentor and develop the supply chain team.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • Master's degree or professional certifications (CSCP, CIPS) preferred.

Experience:

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics (preferably in engineering, trading, or industrial sectors).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory systems.
  • ERP/Supply Chain software proficiency and advanced MS Office skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization.
  • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal excellence.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
