We are looking for a seasoned and visionary
General Manager Taxation
to join our leadership team. This is a senior-level role that requires exceptional expertise in
taxation, compliance, and strategic planning
, with strong exposure to the
FMCG or Pharmaceutical sector
. The ideal candidate will not only ensure strict compliance with tax regulations but also act as a trusted advisor to the business, driving efficiency, minimizing risk, and optimizing the company's tax position.


Key Responsibilities

As General Manager Taxation, you will:

  • Lead and oversee the entire taxation function including
    direct tax, indirect tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing
    .
  • Develop, implement, and monitor
    tax strategies
    aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, reconciliations, and statutory submissions.
  • Drive
    tax planning initiatives
    to achieve tax efficiency and business sustainability.
  • Act as the primary liaison with
    tax authorities, external auditors, and consultants
    .
  • Lead the management of
    tax audits, appeals, assessments, and litigation matters
    .
  • Monitor evolving
    tax legislation, regulatory reforms, and industry practices
    to anticipate risks and opportunities.
  • Provide
    strategic guidance
    to the senior management team on the financial and operational impact of tax issues.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a
    high-performing taxation team
    , fostering a culture of compliance, innovation, and accountability.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Professional Qualification
    : Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or ICMA required.
  • Experience
    : 10+ years of progressive experience in taxation, with at least 5 years in a
    senior leadership role
    .
  • Industry Expertise
    : Strong background in
    FMCG and/or Pharmaceutical industry
    taxation.
  • Knowledge Base
    : In-depth understanding of
    Pakistan tax laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks
    .
  • Skills
    :
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly regulated environment.
