Role Overview

The Assistant Manager – Product will support product management activities for our technology & consultancy services offerings. The role will involve assisting with product planning, development, launch, lifecycle management, market analysis, and cross-functional coordination. You will work closely with Chief Product Officer, engineering and sales team to ensure that product initiatives align with business goals, market needs, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining product vision, strategy and roadmap in collaboration with senior product leadership.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, customer pain-points, trends, and product gaps.
  • Develop product requirement documents (PRDs), user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Work with engineering/design teams to ensure timely delivery of features, and participate in prioritisation of backlog.
  • Support go-to-market planning: pricing, positioning, launch campaigns, training, and internal readiness.
  • Monitor product performance: usage metrics, revenue, profitability, customer feedback, and make recommendations for enhancements.
  • Drive product lifecycle management: feature updates, de-commissioning, product enhancements, and end-of-life decisions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales and Marketing) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of product initiatives.
  • Maintain product documentation and ensure stakeholders are kept updated on changes, risks, and progress.
  • Support risk management, issue resolution and quality assurance in product delivery.
  • Mentor junior product team members (if applicable) and contribute to process improvements within the product function.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Typically 2-3 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or a related role in a tech/consulting environment.
  • Good understanding of software/technology product lifecycle, agile methodologies, and product delivery frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to interpret data, draw insights, and recommend actions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: able to work across teams and at different levels of the organisation.
  • Commercial awareness: understanding of market dynamics, pricing models, revenue and cost drivers.
  • Customer-centric mindset: ability to articulate user problems, define product solutions, and ensure product value.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities.

  • Familiarity with SaaS / cloud / consultancy offerings is beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change.
  • Strong team player but also able to operate independently and take ownership of deliverables.

  • Reports to: Chief Product Officer.
  • Interacts with: Engineering/Development, UX/Design, Sales, Marketing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs75,000.00 per month
