About the Role

Petra Brands is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accuracy in our bookkeeping processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and a passion for maintaining organized financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record financial transactions in the accounting system and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial statements.
  • Prepare and process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and cash flow management.
  • Support the finance team in audits and other financial reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
