Qualification:

Experience
:

  • Candidate should hold up to 8 years of diversified experience, including 3 years specifically in taxation
  • In-depth understanding of Pakistani tax laws (direct and indirect)
  • Expertise in tax accounting and financial reporting
  • Experience with SAP tax configurations
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and tax computation tools
  • Experience in a Chartered Accountant firm would be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance with direct and indirect tax laws.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including sales tax, advance tax estimates, and income tax filings.
  • Compute and post monthly tax provisions (current and deferred tax) following applicable laws and accounting standards.
  • Provide tax certificates and supporting documentation to vendors and internal stakeholders on time.
  • Support tax audits by preparing tax charge workings, disclosures, and ensuring the timely resolution of queries.
  • Assist in tax litigation and appeals by preparing replies, compiling documentation, and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Monitor daily tax law updates and advise management on implications and compliance adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive tax records and documentation for audits, internal reviews, and statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and government authorities to foster positive relationships and ensure smooth operations.
