Overview

Industry: Finance and Accounts. Location: Karachi. Urgently require Head of Accounts and Taxation by a progressive construction company based in Karachi.

Qualifications
  • M.Com degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years experience with at least 3 years as Head
Responsibilities
  • Review and suggest improvements in current accounting software so that all management reports are generated through it, including Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
  • Cover all areas of system and operation of the department.
  • Supervise and implement all management policies regarding accounting and taxation.
  • Ensure financial controls are sustained and produce timely financial reports.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are performed as per standard accounting transactions and chart of accounts.
  • Control and guide the department staff in day-to-day operations and maintain strict discipline.
  • Prepare budget and variation reports.
  • Prepare balance sheet and income statement project-wise and for the whole group.
  • Timely submission of the company's tax return as per tax laws.
  • Be ready to work late hours if needed.
  • Maximum age limit: 50 years.
