Senior NodeJS Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer to join our engineering team. You will architect and develop robust backend services, integrate complex data sources, and build scalable systems that power mission-critical applications.

Location:
Karachi or Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan

Experience:
Minimum 5 years in backend development

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using
  • Architect and optimize databases using PostgreSQL and MongoDB (schema design, indexing, query optimization)
  • Build data pipelines and integrate with third-party APIs, external services, and multiple data sources
  • Implement secure authentication/authorization mechanisms and follow security best practices
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and participate in technical decision-making
  • Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams in an agile environment
  • Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and comprehensive documentation

Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

  • Deep expertise in , JavaScript/ES6+, async programming, and event-driven architecture
  • Strong production experience with MongoDB (aggregation, indexing, replica sets) and PostgreSQL (complex queries, transactions, performance tuning)
  • Proven experience building and maintaining secure, high-performance RESTful APIs
  • Hands-on experience with external API integrations, data synchronization, and ETL processes
  • Solid understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (JWT, OAuth, RBAC)
  • Proficient with Git and modern development workflows

Core Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated with strong sense of ownership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TypeScript, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis)
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha) and monitoring tools
  • Experience in fast-paced agile teams and mentoring developers
