Introduction:

The Department of Oncology offers comprehensive cancer care services to all patients. The services are provided through multidisciplinary teams. Infrastructure facilities include a daycare setting dedicated to oncology patients. Outpatient facilities include clinics of Medical, Hematology, Paediatric, Radiation, and Palliative Care.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate, Department of Oncology.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

provide assistance and support in organising departmental events i.e. conferences/ workshops/ courses/symposiumproviding assistance to various departmental committeeswork with other department team members and other stakeholders i.e. Food Services, Finance, Purchase etcorganize National and International tumor boardsdevelop and maintain a strategy for clinical, education, fellowship and research related information and activities in the Department of oncologyprepare and editing documents for presentation, SPSS and publications and disseminate the same to the stakeholderstake continuous follow-ups from the support departments for ensuring the completeness of work on timeprepare budget sheets and maintain the GVR for grantstake continuous follow-ups from the support departments for ensuring the completeness of work on timemake presentations on behalf of the Department, as and when requiredplay a role in research audit and maintaining files and play role in all the quality certifications (ISO, JCIA certification/accreditation) in order to align with the institutional vision/missionreview the literature related to assigned topicreview the case history of the identified individualsassist in proposal development & manuscript writingperform primary data collection, analyses of data and writing up resultsconduct assigned qualitative and quantitative analysisprepare weekly and monthly progress reportschedule, coordinate and organize the Weekly or Monthly Tumor Boards.

Requirements:

You should have:

an MBBS degreeknowledge and experience related to research will be preferredknowledge and interest in the field of specialtydemonstrated skills in data collection and analysisstrong academic and scientific writing skillsproficiency in use of computer applicationsgood interpersonal skills and communication skillsinterested in pursuing a career in Pediatric Neuro-oncology and Public Healthexcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to plan and execute process improvements related to work managementability to handle correspondence and other assignments independently without being micromanagedstrong interpersonal skills.
