Job Title: Accounts and Tax Associate

An Australian accounting and tax firm is expanding its back-office support services in Pakistan and is seeking talented candidates to join our team.

Position Overview: We are looking for an Accounts and Tax Associate to support our Accounts and Tax Senior Executive and Accounts and Tax Assistant Managerin various financial tasks, including:

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports. Assisting in financial statement preparation

Processing invoices and payroll

Supporting month-end and year-end close processes

Performing bookkeeping tasks

Job Details:

The Accounts and Tax Associate will work under the guidance of Senior Accountants or Assistant Managers, playing a critical role in ensuring financial data accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
  • Record daily financial transactions using accounting software.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities.
  • Support accounts for payable and receivable processes.
  • Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions and ensure timely filing.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and financial statements.
  • Liaise with auditors and provide necessary support during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the senior accountant or manager.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Onboarding Process:

1.Initial Online Interview. Preliminary discussion with shortlisted candidates

2.In-office Assessment: An assessment covering Excel, accounting principles and written communication.

3.Final Interview with Partner: Comprehensive final interview with the Partner.

Remuneration & Benefits:

Salary: Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 80,000

6 monthly performance bonuses

75% reimbursement of ACCA or CA exam fees upon passing

Eid Bonus

Work Schedule:

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)

Timings: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (PST)
