About the Role

GeoEdge Services is seeking a highly skilled
GIS Expert
to join our dynamic team. This role requires a professional with
in-depth knowledge of GIS tools, spatial analysis, and programming for geospatial applications.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging GIS technologies to support projects in architecture, infrastructure development, environmental surveys, and geophysical assessments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and analyze geospatial datasets for various projects.
  • Perform advanced spatial analysis, modeling, and visualization using
    ArcGIS Pro
    and
    QGIS
    .
  • Automate geospatial workflows with
    Python scripting
    .
  • Implement and manage projects on
    Google Earth Engine (GEE)
    for large-scale environmental and resource monitoring.
  • Prepare high-quality maps, reports, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Support field teams with GIS-based planning, data collection, and post-processing.
  • Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and environmental specialists to integrate GIS into multi-disciplinary projects.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Geomatics, Remote Sensing, or related field
    .
  • Minimum
    1 year of professional experience
    working in GIS projects.
  • Proven expertise in:
  • ArcGIS Pro
    (advanced workflows, analysis, cartography)
  • QGIS
    (plugins, geoprocessing, data management)
  • Python for GIS
    (automation, data analysis, geospatial libraries such as GeoPandas, Rasterio, GDAL, PyQGIS, etc.)
  • Google Earth Engine
    (remote sensing, big data processing, cloud-based analysis)
  • Strong understanding of
    remote sensing, geospatial databases, and spatial statistics
    .
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.


Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with web GIS development (Leaflet, Mapbox, ArcGIS Online).
  • Knowledge of
    surveying techniques
    and GPS data integration.
  • Familiarity with
    geophysical surveys, water resource mapping, or environmental monitoring
    .
