About the Role:

Job Title: IT Officer (Networking & Systems Management)

Job Type: Full Time (on-site)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled IT Officer with 2-4 years of experience in the banking sector to join our dynamic IT team. This role involves supporting and maintaining IT systems, networks and applications, ensuring smooth and secure banking operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking IT systems, security protocols and a passion for technology-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Manage and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points.

·  Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and security.

·  Implement network policies and procedures to maintain operational effectiveness.

·  Deploy and manage updates using WSUS (Windows Server Update Services).

· Use SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for centralized software distribution, patch management, and compliance enforcement.

·  Configure and manage Intune for mobile device management and cloud- based endpoint administration.

·   Automate the setup and configuration of laptops and desktops within the organization.

·   Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.

·   Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.

·   Monitor server health, logs and capacity planning.

·   Assess hardware and software needs for departments.

·   Evaluate vendor proposals and assist in purchasing IT equipment like servers, switches, laptops, firewalls, software and accessories.

·   Maintain inventory and ensure timely installation and support of procured devices.

·   Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, network diagrams, and procedures.

·   Generate reports on system performance, software compliance, and procurement status.

·   Ability to work on Microsoft 365, AWS cloud infrastructure, MYSQL etc.

Required Qualifications:

·   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a renowned university.

·   2–3 years of experience in IT administration or network/system management.

·  Strong understanding of Windows Server OS and enterprise device management tools (WSUS, SCCM, Intune).

·   Experience in configuring and managing network devices (Cisco, HP, etc.).

·   Familiarity with IT procurement processes and vendor management.

Preferred Qualifications:

·   Experience with banking security protocols (e.g., encryption, multi-factor authentication).

·   Familiarity with industry standards like ISO 27001, PCI-DSS and other financial regulations.

·   Knowledge of cloud-based services and technologies.

·   Certification CCNA, MCSA/MCSE, or Microsoft Endpoint Manager is a plus.
