Position Overview: -

We are looking for a
Business Development Manager (BDM) – Imports
with a strong background in freight forwarding, particularly in import operations. The ideal candidate must have an
active and reliable clientele
, proven experience in
bringing import business consistently

generate high-quality leads
to accelerate company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and expand a strong portfolio of
    import clients
    within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
  • Bring
    immediate business
    from existing clients and ensure monthly revenue targets are met.
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new leads to generate substantial import business.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across client organizations.
  • Conduct regular client visits, meetings, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business flow.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth handling of import shipments.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum
    3–5 years of experience
    in business development within the
    freight forwarding industry
    , specifically in imports.
  • Must have an
    active client base
    capable of generating immediate and consistent import business.
  • Strong network of importers across various industries (textile, chemicals, machinery, electronics, food items, etc.).
  • Proven track record of
    sales achievements
    , revenue generation, and building long-term client relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree
