Role Overview

We are seeking a
Cross-Border Infrastructure & Trade Policy Analyst
to join our team and contribute to strategic diagnostics, infrastructure benchmarking, and regional trade policy advisory in South and Central Asia. Based in Islamabad, this role is especially relevant to professionals familiar with the
China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)
,
ECO transport corridors
, or
national logistics reforms
.

You will help develop reports, policy briefs, and institutional recommendations that support enhanced regional connectivity and sustainable infrastructure investment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze trade corridors, transport infrastructure, and logistics systems across Pakistan and adjacent regions
  • Develop technical notes, corridor diagnostics, and regional connectivity strategies for governments and development partners
  • Evaluate trade facilitation bottlenecks at border crossings, ports, dry ports, and special economic zones
  • Map institutional coordination challenges across federal ministries, customs authorities, and infrastructure regulators
  • Monitor policy and regulatory trends in digital trade, multimodal freight, and customs modernization
  • Prepare stakeholder engagement materials and contribute to investment planning documents for public sector and DFI clients

Qualifications

  • Degree in International Trade, Public Policy, Transport Planning, or Development Economics
  • 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure advisory, logistics planning, or regional economic development
  • Familiarity with CPEC, ECO corridors, or national trade facilitation efforts is highly desirable
  • Strong policy research and technical writing skills
  • Experience with donor-funded projects, think tanks, or government modernization programs is a plus
  • English fluency required
