Network AdministratorJob Description

  • Respond promptly during outages and recommend solutions for performance issues.
  • Maintain network security firewalls and define network access rights.
  • Monitors information systems for security incidents and vulnerabilities; develop monitoring and visibility capabilities; reports on incidents, vulnerabilities
  • Oversees the performance of day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability, and serviceability within minimal interruption.
  • Oversees the configuration of firewall security settings to access permissions groups for individuals and sets up provisions for incoming data.
  • Oversees and participates in network technology upgrades or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software, and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing the function of other systems.
  • Experience of WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF,), LAN/WLAN (DNS, IP Addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast), Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR/ASR routers
  • Intermediate problem resolution knowledge of hardware/software platform problems in complex, layered, network infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • CCNP , CCDP or equivalent- Certified
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in relevant field

Job Specifications:

  • Knowledge of NG-Firewalls (Multi-vendor, Microtik Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, FortiGate), Security products/practices - ACLs, Firewalls, VPN, etc.
  • Proactive monitoring (SolarWinds, PRTG) of 1000+ devices network and knowledge of NMS/Syslog monitoring, alerting and escalations
