Job Title: Junior Backend Developer

Location: DHA Phase 5, Lahore

Experience Required: 0 to 2 years

Working Hours: 6:00pm to 3:00am

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Backend Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and services. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals with a passion for backend development and programming in Ruby, Java, Python, or C/C++. You will work under the guidance of senior developers, gain hands-on experience with databases and APIs, and contribute to building scalable and reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Development: Assist in writing, debugging, and maintaining server-side code using Ruby, Java, Python, or C/C++.
  • Database Support: Work with relational and NoSQL databases; assist in writing queries and optimizing performance.
  • API Development: Help in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrations.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while following coding standards.
  • Testing & Debugging: Contribute to unit and integration testing; troubleshoot and resolve bugs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, frontend engineers, and product teams.
  • Learning & Growth: Stay updated with backend development trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Documentation: Assist in preparing technical documentation for code and system processes.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in backend development (internships or academic projects will be considered).
  • Exposure to one or more of the following languages: Ruby, Java, Python, C/C++.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in backend development.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in teams.
