Job Title: Slitting Machine Operator

Job Purpose:

To operate and maintain the slitting machine efficiently to ensure accurate cutting, rewinding, and quality of packaging materials (films, laminates, paper, foils, etc.) as per production requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor the slitting machine according to production schedules.
• Load and unload rolls of packaging material safely onto the machine.
• Adjust machine settings (speed, tension, blade position) to achieve desired roll size and quality.
• Inspect finished rolls for defects such as uneven edges, misalignment, or damages.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure smooth operation.
• Troubleshoot and report mechanical or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Follow production instructions and ensure timely completion of assigned orders.
• Maintain records of production output, material usage, and downtime.
• Comply with safety, hygiene, and quality control standards.
• Support in reducing material waste and improving efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum: Diploma / Technical Certification (DAE Mechanical/Electrical) or relevant trade training.
• Experience: 1–3 years as a slitting machine operator in the packaging industry (films, flexible packaging, laminates, etc.).
• Knowledge of machine operation, blade change, tension control, and roll handling.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read job orders and follow instructions accurately.
• Good physical stamina and attention to detail.

Job will be in rotational 12 hours shift, 1 week day and 1 week night. (8+4)
