Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Product Sales Manager to drive the commercial success and market adoption of our [Product Line/Offerings]. This hybrid role requires a unique blend of strategic product management expertise and hands-on sales leadership to define the product's vision, execute effective go-to-market strategies, and exceed sales targets. The ideal candidate will be the internal expert on the product, the market, and the competition, serving as the crucial link between our development teams and our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Management
• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap based on market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
• Conduct extensive market and customer research to identify pain points, market trends, and new opportunities, using these insights to inform product development and positioning.
• Develop business cases for new product investments and manage the product throughout its entire lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to ensure the product vision is translated into high-quality, deliverable solutions that meet market needs.
• Determine product pricing and positioning strategies to maximize market share, revenue, and profitability, considering costs, competition, and customer value. Client relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Business development: Identify new market opportunities, expand the customer base, and cultivate new business leads.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with other departments, such as marketing, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
• On-the-ground support: Conduct field visits to provide on-the-ground support and gain insights into market conditions and customer needs.
Sales Leadership & Execution
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and action plans to achieve and exceed annual revenue goals and sales quotas.
Own the full sales cycle for key accounts, from prospecting and needs analysis to proposal, negotiation, and closing complex deals.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, setting clear targets, and ensuring high performance.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners, acting as the primary point of contact for complex product-related inquiries and demonstrations.
Create compelling sales tools and collateral (e.g., presentations, white papers, case studies) that effectively communicate the product's value proposition to the sales team and customers.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
Track and analyze sales performance metrics (e.g., sales data, win/loss rates, customer satisfaction, ROI) to identify areas for improvement and inform future strategies.
Prepare and deliver regular sales forecasts, reports, and market insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Manage the sales department budget and align resource allocation with product and business goals.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in B2B sales or technology sales, with demonstrated success in a managerial role.
Strong understanding of product management principles, including lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Odoo, Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales reporting tools.
Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and internal events.**
