Responsibilities

  • Understand client requirements and perform quantities take-off as per marking and RCP drawings.
  • Prepare
    BOQs (Bills of Quantities)
    by analyzing specifications provided by the sales team.
  • Identify and resolve gaps between BOQs, drawings, specifications, and contractual conditions.
  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Participate in pre-tendering activities with clients, architects, and project managers; raise pre-bid queries.
  • Prepare initial quotes and contracts for the sales team on behalf of the company.
  • Coordinate with the design team to analyze architectural and service drawings.
  • Manage valuation of work done, including claims and variations.
  • Prepare interim and final valuations, variations, and claims at the construction site.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and value engineering exercises.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize project outcomes and ensure value for money.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

10+ years of professional experience
in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the construction industry.

In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations, and standards.

Strong proficiency in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and cost management techniques.

Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
