Your Impactful Goals will include:

• Support the planning, design, and deployment of Telenor Pakistan's Telco Core Cloud infrastructure and related platforms.

• Ensure secure and efficient deployment of Huawei Cloud, and related NFVi components.

• Assist in integrating containerization, orchestration, and DevOps practices (OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines) into core network deployments.

• Contribute to the successful rollout of cloud migration projects and ensure alignment with organizational KPIs.

• Enhance network resiliency, scalability, and security posture of Telenor's Core Cloud environments.

Your Typical Day will look like:

• Assist in planning and deployment of Huawei Core Cloud platforms.

• Support integration of VNFs and cloud-native functions with containerized/Kubernetes environments.

• Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation for efficient delivery, upgrades, and scaling of core network applications.

• Contribute to cloud migration and expansion projects, ensuring smooth transition from legacy to next-gen platforms.

• Perform capacity, performance, and scaling analysis of NFVi, cloud, and SDN infrastructure.

• Ensure security posture of deployed solutions through vulnerability management, SIEM integration, and compliance.

• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams for deployments, troubleshooting, and upgrades.

• Prepare reports, KPIs, and dashboards for management and provide insights on chronic issues.

• Strong governance of overall day-to-day tasks with Managed Services partner.

• Develop performance reporting related to cloud & SDN infrastructure.

• Participate in technical workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.

What we're looking for:

Education:
Bachelor or Master's degree in the area of Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or Telecom Engineering from a reputable institute.

Work Experience

• Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience in Cloud/Virtualization/Telecom Core Network environments.

• Hands-on experience with Huawei Cloud native and/or OpenStack/containerization/Kubernetes deployment solutions.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, SDN controllers, and Telco VNFs/CNFs deployment.

• Experience in cloud migration projects and security integration preferred.

Certifications:

• HCIA/HCIP Cloud Service, HCIE-Cloud native.

• RHCSA / RHCE (Linux) or equivalent.

• Kubernetes/CKA/CKAD certifications.

• OpenStack/OpenShift certifications.

• DevOps (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) are a strong plus.

• Security-related certifications are an advantage.

Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:

• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Huawei Cloud in telco environments.

• Knowledge of OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization technologies.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Ansible, Helm, etc.) for automated deployments and upgrades.

• Familiarity with Telco VNFs/CNFs , GSM and Core Network architecture (2G/3G/LTE/VoLTE/5G readiness).

• Working knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure Planning, NFVi resource dimensioning, capacity planning and scaling.

• Solid foundation in SDN technologies and Data Center Networking (routing & switching), including:

o SDN controllers and solutions (Huawei SDN-Controller, Nuage SDN, or similar).

o Network security (Firewalls, ACLs, IPS/IDS, VPN).

o Network integration with cloud environments (NFVi/SDN interworking).

• Experience in Linux (RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu) would be a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, SIEM, IAM/PAM and vulnerability management and their integration with the core cloud platform.

• Understanding of cloud migration strategies and integration of legacy platforms with next-gen cloud infra.

• Experience in preparing HLDs/LLDs, ATP documentation, and deployment design validation.

• Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Python, Bash scripting) is a plus.

• Exposure to network and infrastructure vendors: Huawei, ZTE, Nokia, Dell, HPE, VMware.

• Good project management, reporting, and documentation skills.
