Your Impactful Goals will include:

• Support the design, planning, and deployment of security solutions across Telenor Pakistan's Telco Core Cloud platform.

• Ensure security is integrated into HLDs, LLDs, and deployment architectures for NFVi, VNFs/CNFs, and Huawei Cloud environments.

• Drive adoption of cloud-native security practices (CI/CD, DevSecOps, container security) for Core workloads.

• Contribute to strengthening the resilience, compliance, and cyber defence posture of Telco Core infrastructure.

• Support the security tools integration into Core Cloud

Your Typical Day will look like:

• Contribute to the design and planning & deployment of secure Huawei Cloud deployments in the Core Network.

• Develop HLDs/LLDs and security architecture documents for NFVi, VNFs, and containerized workloads.

• Plan and design IAM, resource isolation, IDS/IPS, EDR, flow monitoring, and logging/auditing frameworks leveraging tools like Splunk, Delinea & Prisma Cloud,.

• Assist in planning and integrating vulnerability management (Prisma, Qualys, Tenable) across Core workloads.

• Participate in SIEM integration design (e.g. Splunk) for VNFs/CNFs, NFVi, and Core applications.

• Ensure security controls in CI/CD pipelines, embedding vulnerability scans and compliance validation (Prisma Cloud).

• Support POCs and vendor evaluations of Core cloud security solutions (e.g., Prisma).

• Provide security inputs during ATPs and deployment acceptance phases for Core projects.

• Prepare risk reports, vulnerability dashboards, and remediation plans using integrated tools.

What we're looking for:

Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in the area of Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences or Telecom Engineering from a reputable institute.

Work Experience

• Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience in Telco Core Cloud Security (design & deployment).

• Hands-on experience with Huawei Cloud security preferred.

• Exposure to SIEM (Splunk, Qradar etc.), vulnerability management (Prisma, Nessus, Qualys), and container security (Prisma) in Core Cloud platform.

Certifications:

• CISSP, CCSP, CEH etc.

• HCIA/HCIP / Cloud Service Security is a plus.

• Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).

• Splunk/Elastic SIEM certifications.

Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:

• Strong understanding of Telco Core Cloud architecture (VNFs, NFVi, orchestration).

• Hands-on knowledge of Huawei Cloud Platform, with focus on security design and planning.

• Experience in cloud security architecture design, including:

o Resource isolation for NFVi workloads.

o Firewall security, including next-generation firewalls (NGFW), firewall clustering, Core NFVi firewall integration, and vendor platforms (Huawei, Juniper SRX, PaloAlto etc.)

o Data protection & encryption (TLS, IPsec, KMS).

o Identity & Access Management (IAM/PAM) - RBAC, MFA, privileged access.

o Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions.

o IDS/IPS design and integration in NFVi/SDN fabrics.

o Flow-based network monitoring & network tapping (NetFlow, packet mirroring).

o Centralized logging & auditing frameworks (using Splunk, FortiSIEM etc.)

o Vulnerability management with industry tools (e.g., Qualys, Prisma Cloud).

• Familiarity with OpenStack and Kubernetes security controls (Pod Security, Network Policies, Admission Controllers).

• Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools (e.g.Prisma Cloud).

• Strong grasp of Linux hardening and virtualization security (VMs, hypervisors, kernels).

• Experience with cloud-native/container security platforms such as Prisma Cloud etc.

• Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Python, Bash scripting) for secure deployments.
