Job Summary:

The Driver of an Armored Vehicle is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company-owned or client-assigned armored vehicles. The role involves ensuring secure transportation of personnel, valuables, and sensitive items, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, vigilance, and professionalism. The driver must operate in line with company SOPs, road safety regulations, and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive and operate armored vehicles for transportation of clients, officials, or assets.
  • Conduct thorough pre-departure and post-departure vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, security equipment).
  • Ensure the vehicle is maintained in excellent operational condition at all times.
  • Strictly follow defensive and evasive driving techniques when required.
  • Adhere to planned routes while being alert for alternative secure routes in case of emergencies.
  • Report any mechanical issues, damages, or irregularities immediately to the supervisor/transport manager.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, documentation (logbooks, mileage, fuel records), and valid licenses.
  • Cooperate with security personnel/close protection officers during movements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding client movements and assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, road safety laws, and Ministry of Interior regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Matriculation (higher education preferred).
  • Valid HTV/LTV driving license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience (experience in armored vehicle driving preferred).
  • Knowledge of Islamabad, provincial highways, and remote area routes.
  • Prior training in defensive/evasive driving (EDDC) is an advantage.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and alertness.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly in emergencies.
  • Physically fit, with good eyesight and hearing.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a background in military, law enforcement, or security services.
