Role Overview:

The Resident Engineer will oversee, monitor, and manage all site-based development and construction works at Grand City Faisalabad. This role ensures that all civil, electrical, and infrastructural works are executed according to approved designs, specifications, safety standards, and timelines. The Resident Engineer will serve as the technical authority on-site, coordinating between contractors, consultants, and internal departments to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Supervision & Execution

2. Oversee all site development works including roads, sewerage, drainage, electrification, water supply, and related infrastructure.

3. Ensure contractors and subcontractors execute work as per approved drawings, designs, and BOQs.

4. Monitor project schedules to avoid delays and ensure timely completion of milestones.

5. Quality Control & Compliance

6. Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain high construction standards.

7. Conduct inspections of materials, workmanship, and processes to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.

8. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on-site.

9. Technical Coordination

10. Liaise with Planning & Development (P&D) department for technical approvals.

11. Work closely with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to resolve on-site issues.

12. Coordinate with the Land and Admin teams for site-related requirements.

13. Reporting & Documentation

14. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

15. Maintain accurate records of drawings, material usage, and site instructions.

16. Report delays, risks, and corrective actions directly to the Director Operations/CEO.

17. Budget & Resource Management

18. Monitor project costs and ensure works are executed within allocated budgets.

19. Review contractor bills and certify work done for payment processing.

20. Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

21. Leadership & Supervision

22. Lead and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and technical staff.

23. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure accountability in day-to-day operations.
24. Facilitate professional growth and training of site staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (BSc/BE Civil) – Master's preferred.
• Valid PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) registration.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in site engineering and project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership/resident engineer role.
• Proven track record in housing societies, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, design standards, and project management practices.
