1- Direct Taxation & indiect (Income Tax & Sales Tax, Withholding Tax & SECP):

2- Regulatory Compliance -Compliance with SECP, SBP, FBR, and other regulators.

3- Accounting & Reporting Skills:

a. Tax accounting (deferred tax, current tax provisions under IAS 12).

b. Reconciliations of tax ledgers with financials & Returns & Statements filled.

c. Understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, etc.) for tax reporting.

4- Coordination with Department and responding to various notices on Sales Tax & Income Tax & SECP.

5- Coordination with auditors, consultants, and regulators.

6- Liaison with internal departments (finance, procurement, HR, etc.)

7- Communication Skills: Drafting replies to tax authorities.

8- Time Management: Meeting strict deadlines for returns and compliance filings.

9-. Digital / Technical Tools

  • Tax Portals: Familiarity with FBR IRIS, PRAL, SECP portal.
  • Excel & Data Analytics: Advanced skills for reconciliations and tax workings.
  • ERP Systems: SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific ERPs.

10- Having practical professional experience of atleast 3 to 4 years with (Manufacturing Sector would be preferable)

11- Having command on reading & understanding of SROs, Circulars & Notices.

12- Educational & Professional Background

  • Education: Graduation with ICAP/ICMAP Part Qualified or Finalist.
