Counter Sale Person

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
Greet customers, answer product and service inquiries, and respond to complaints professionally.
- Sales:
Identify customer needs, recommend products, and use upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize sales.
- Transactions:
Process sales accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems, and handle various forms of payment, such as cash and credit cards.
- Inventory Management:
Check stock levels, assist with restocking shelves, check inventory, and process returns or exchanges.
- Merchandising:
Maintain an organized and attractive sales counter and displays.
- Product Knowledge:
Stay up-to-date on product information, promotions, and sales policies.
- Store Maintenance:
Follow daily checklists to keep the counter and sales area clean and safe.
- Administrative Tasks:
Enter orders and manage customer information for accurate records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and engage effectively with customers.
- Customer Service:
A customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle various customer interactions, including complaints.
- Sales Aptitude:
Proven sales experience and knowledge of basic sales techniques.
- Problem-Solving:
The ability to think on your feet and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Technical Skills:
Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Organization:
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is often required, with a bachelor's degree sometimes preferred.
- Adaptability:
Flexibility to work different hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, to meet customer needs.
