About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BI Engineer / Tableau Developer with a strong background in Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, and Analytics Engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Tableau, MicroStrategy, QlikSense, Power BI, Teradata, SQL Server, and data governance. This role requires a blend of technical development, administration, performance optimization, and stakeholder engagement to deliver scalable, self-service BI platforms that empower data-driven decision-making.

The candidate should bring proven experience from telecommunications, financial services, and microfinance industries, with a track record of delivering impactful BI solutions, leading teams, and executing technology migration projects.

Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, MicroStrategy, and QlikSense.
  • Optimize BI extracts, data models, and performance for high efficiency and scalability.
  • Conduct data analysis to support strategic decision-making and business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into BI solutions.
Tableau Development & Administration
  • Administer Tableau Server, including user management, roles, permissions, and governance.
  • Implement best practices in dashboard design, data visualization, and performance optimization.
  • Manage Tableau data sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve BI/ETL performance and usability issues.
MicroStrategy Development & Maintenance
  • Develop and optimize MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, schema objects, and project architecture.
  • Lead self-service BI initiatives to empower business users with advanced analytics tools.
  • Ensure seamless integration of MicroStrategy with various databases (Teradata, SQL Server, Vertica, etc.).
Data Engineering & Technology Migration
  • Support technology stack migrations (e.g., Teradata Vertica, SAP BO QlikSense).
  • Maintain data pipelines, transformations, and semantic layers for BI systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance across reporting platforms.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Lead BI/analytics projects and mentor junior team members.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver insights, and drive adoption of BI tools.
  • Document solutions, processes, and best practices for scalability and knowledge sharing.

  • Proven experience leading BI projects and small teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
