Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Accountant (CA/ACCA)
with strong strategic financial management expertise and an in-depth understanding of
UAE accounting standards, VAT, and corporate tax systems
. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws, and providing strategic insights to support business decision-making and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Lead end-to-end accounting operations including general ledger, financial statements, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with
    IFRS and UAE accounting standards
    .
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Manage and ensure compliance with
    UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
    .
  • Oversee preparation, filing, and payment of tax returns within regulatory deadlines.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, external auditors, and consultants as required.
  • Monitor changes in UAE financial and tax laws and recommend updates to company policies.

Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

  • Advise senior management on financial risks, opportunities, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Contribute to
    investment planning, financial modeling, and feasibility analysis
    for new projects.
  • Support decision-making for expansion, mergers, or strategic partnerships.
  • Lead financial process improvements and internal control enhancements.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, Legal) on financial matters.
  • Build strong relationships with banks, external auditors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA (fully qualified) with
    7+ years of accounting and finance experience
    , including senior-level exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of
    UAE accounting systems, VAT, Excise Tax, and Corporate Tax regulations
    .
  • Proven expertise in
    strategic financial management and advisory
    .
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or equivalent).
  • Strong MS Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
