The Position:
The division is looking for a skilled  AP Accountant to work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center team.
The Accounts Payable job duties include working closely with the onshore manager and vendors to process credit card and wire payments, post-credits, and prepare financial reports. A key aspect of the role also includes managing relationships with vendors. Our ideal candidate holds an Accounting degree and is familiar with Microsoft Dynamics GP (GP) accounting software and Nexus Systems Software for AP.

Responsibilities: 
On a daily basis, enter and code invoices in Nexus
Apply vendor payments against invoices in GP
Manage and process credit card and wire payments via online portal
Responding to and managing vendor inquiries
On a monthly basis, reconcile the AP sub-ledger for critical vendors to vendor provided statements
Prepare AP reports for management
Any other tasks assigned by the Team Lead

Requirements:  
Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a fast paced, high demand environment
Proficiency in English and in MS Office
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Independent with the ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines
Efficient and goal oriented
Positive attitude
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
