The DevSecOps Consultant is responsible for integrating security practices within the DevOps process, ensuring security is embedded from design through deployment. The consultant will work closely with software engineering, operations, and security teams to implement automated security testing, secure CI/CD pipelines, and promote best security practices throughout the development lifecycle. This role combines technical expertise, a keen understanding of cybersecurity risks, and strong communication skills to help organizations build secure and compliant cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client infrastructure, applications, and operations for security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines integrating security tools into build and deployment processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications preferred: Certified DevSecOps Professional, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or OSCP.
  • Cloud Platforms: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP security architectures.
  • CI/CD Tools: Proficient with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Security Tools: Experience with static application security testing (SAST), dynamic application security testing (DAST), container security (e.g., Aqua, Prisma), and dependency scanning (e.g., Snyk, WhiteSource).
  • IaC Tools: Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or similar, including policy enforcement (e.g., OPA, Sentinel).
  • Containerization: Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes security best practices.
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Version Control: Strong knowledge of git-based workflows.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for client interactions, reporting, and training delivery.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a distributed/onsite team.
  • Strong project management and documentation capabilities.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevSecOps, Security Engineering, or DevOps role with security responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable record of securing cloud workloads and automating
