Project Engineer – Infrastructure

About the Role:

Grand City is looking for a proactive and experienced Project Engineer (Infrastructure & Buildings) to manage on-site execution of roads, sewerage systems, utilities, and building construction (grey structure & finishing) in housing society projects.

The ideal candidate must be a PEC-registered civil engineer, with strong site management skills, attention to quality, and the ability to coordinate between multiple teams on fast-paced residential development projects.

Key Responsibilities:


Infrastructure – Roads & Utilities:

  • Supervise construction of roads (subgrade, base, WMM/asphalt, PCC, curbstones, signage)
  • Ensure field density tests, level accuracy, and material approvals
  • Oversee sewerage, stormwater drains, and water supply networks (pipes, chambers, manholes)
  • Coordinate with surveyors for line and level checks
  • Liaise with utility departments and subcontractors for timely execution


Buildings – Grey Structure & Finishing:

  • Manage construction of residential and commercial units (excavation, foundation, RCC, blockwork)
  • Supervise bar bending, shuttering, and concrete casting as per drawings
  • Coordinate finishing works including plaster, flooring, plumbing, paint, doors/windows, etc.
  • Ensure timely availability and quality of materials
  • Interface with MEP teams and design consultants


Project Supervision & Coordination:

  • Interpret working drawings, specifications, and BOQs for accurate execution
  • Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) and submit updates to the Project Manager
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Verify contractor measurements and support in bill verification
  • Attend site meetings and inspections with consultants and authorities

Requirements:

  • BSc Civil Engineering (PEC Registered – Mandatory)
  • 4–8 years of relevant site experience in infrastructure and building works
  • Strong understanding of road construction layers, sewerage networks, and building components
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and technical reporting
  • Knowledge of local authority standards (e.g., WASA, NHA, Building Codes)
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and contractor supervision skills
  • Able to work independently and lead site teams effectively
