Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Pakistan office. The ideal candidate will have excellent English communication skills, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work with Canadian clients and management teams. Understanding of Canadian financial regulations and tax laws is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations for the Pakistan office and coordination with the Canada office.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll processing.
  • Monitor budgets, expenditures, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial standards, and applicable laws.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with Canadian teams to align financial reporting with Canadian accounting requirements.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Train and guide junior accountants or finance staff, if applicable.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or Professional Certification such as ACCA, CA, or CPA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of Canadian financial regulations and tax laws is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a night shift (6 PM – 3 AM PST) schedule.
