Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and versatile 3D Generalist to join our dynamic team at Smarnovative Labs. As a 3D Generalist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets, animations, and textures for our mobile games. You will collaborate closely with the art and development teams to ensure that all visual elements are optimized for performance and contribute to an immersive gaming experience.

This role is perfect for a creative professional with a strong passion for mobile gaming and a broad skill set in modeling, texturing, and animation.

Key Responsibilities:

3D Modeling:

Create low-poly and high-poly 3D models for characters, environments, and props tailored for mobile game performance.

Ensure models adhere to technical and artistic specifications, maintaining consistent style and quality.

Texturing and UV Mapping:

Develop visually compelling textures using tools like Substance Painter, Photoshop, or similar software.

Perform UV unwrapping and optimize textures for mobile platforms.

Animation:

Rig and animate characters, objects, and environments to bring the game world to life.

Create smooth, optimized animations for game play mechanics and cut scenes.

Optimization:

Optimize models, textures, and animations to meet the performance constraints of mobile platforms without compromising quality.

Collaborate with developers to integrate assets seamlessly into the game engine (Unity)

Collaboration:

Work closely with game designers, developers, and other artists to bring concepts to life.

Provide creative input to enhance the overall visual direction of the game.

Quality Assurance:

Test and refine 3D assets and animations to ensure they function as intended within the game.

Identify and resolve technical and artistic issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in 3D modeling, texturing, and animation, preferably in the mobile gaming industry.

Software Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Unity or Unreal Engine.

Artistic Skills: Strong understanding of form, color, composition, and design principles.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with mobile game development pipelines, performance optimization, and PBR workflows.

Animation Skills: Experience in rigging and animating characters and props.

Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, and animation for games.

Team Player: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of shaders and visual effects creation.

Experience in mobile game asset optimization techniques.

Passion for mobile gaming and understanding of mobile market trends.
