Our worldwide customer base is serviced from offices in Washington D.C, Karachi, and Lahore.

What we're looking for:

Our client, a leading renewable energy industry firm in the US, is seeking to hire a Sourcing Specialist on the Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for initiating and managing communication with vendors, developing Purchase Order packages, preparing analytical reports, and providing support services to the supply chain team. This is a hybrid position based out of our office in Karachi but working exclusively with and for a firm in the US. Successful candidates will need to manage working hour that overlap to some extent with US working hours.

What you'll do:

  • Reach out to suppliers for sourcing of electrical, mechanical and civil goods and services, in support of the company's solar development projects.
  • Manage vendor communication throughout the lifecycle of the procurement phase.
  • Analyze quotations from different suppliers, utilizing the (TCO) total cost of ownership tools and reconciling with approved ROM's.
  • Negotiate with the supplier the equipment costs, and project timeline deliverables.
  • Manage tactical Purchasing activities such as expediting material orders, past due PO's, open PO's, PO confirmations, Receiving/Purchasing related issues, and Accounting/Purchasing related issues.
  • Assist the Category Managers with the sourcing of new suppliers for new or existing products.
  • Produce reports and analytics for cost saving initiatives.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, supply chain or related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in supply chain and sourcing / procurement.
  • ERP knowledge and experience e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating with vendors, analysing quotations, and producing meaningful data for supply chain decisions.
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
