Blue Health is seeking a
Healthcare Data Analyst
on a contractual employment with strong expertise in
FHIR and HL7 standards
to join our interoperability team. This role blends
technical healthcare data modeling
with
functional analysis
, ensuring seamless exchange and quality of healthcare information across systems. The selected candidate will also play a critical role in
supporting our team as we design and deliver innovative healthcare products
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, interpret, and model healthcare data using FHIR resources, bundles, profiles, and implementation guides.
  • Map clinical and administrative data—covering billing, lab, eligibility, and clinical observations—to FHIR structures and relational schemas.
  • Develop test cases, validate FHIR APIs and data flows using tools such as Postman, and ensure conformance to interoperability standards.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across analytics, engineering, and product teams to
    support the development of healthcare products powered by interoperable data
    .
  • Support creation of FHIR Profiles and Implementation Guides tailored to operational analytics and real-time data workflows.
  • Monitor and ensure data quality, harmonization, and architectural consistency of FHIR-based data systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a
    Data Analyst
    ,
    FHIR Analyst
    , or
    Interoperability Specialist
    within healthcare IT.
  • Familiarity with FHIR standards (especially R4/FHIR 4.0.1), HL7 v2/v3, CCDA, USCDI
  • Practical experience in
    data mapping
    , FHIR profiling, and test scenario design using tools like Postman.
  • Strong hands-on skills in SQL, Python, and data modeling for both operational and analytical workloads.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders across technical, business, and product functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading FHIR implementations involving payers or interoperability projects within the payer ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Aidbox, SQL-on-FHIR, or CQL scripting environments.
