About the Role
As the Manager Learning & Development you will drive the strategic learning agenda of Telenor Pakistan. This role ensures that our leaders and workforce are equipped with the competencies needed to deliver on current and future business priorities. You will lead flagship leadership development initiatives, manage budgets, and build visibility with top management through reporting and dashboards. You will also partner with global teams, HRBPs, and CXOs to embed critical competencies such as 5G, Data, BI, and Analytics in our organization.
Your Impactful Goals will include
- Lead on flagship leadership and capability development programs for Telenor Pakistan.
- Develop Telenor Pakistan's training roadmap by conducting training needs analysis and then ensure delivery on targets.
- Facilitate leadership development programs for people managers at different levels.
- Develop and implement the leadership and functional skills roadmap in line with business strategy.
- Manage L&D budgets effectively and ensure ROI.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for top management, ensuring visibility of learning outcomes and progression.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that L&D programs are aligned with specific business priorities and outcomes.
- Measure the impact of training programs through ROI models and learner analytics.
- Partner with CXOs, HRBPs, and SMEs to identify and deliver strategically important competencies.
- Position and brand expert learning programs across the organization.
- Oversee key operational activities within L&D to ensure smooth execution of programs.
Your Typical Day will look like
- Identifying learning gaps and development needs in the organization and providing solutions though the L&D portfolio.
- Managing the competence development by supporting on self-led journeys- from nomination to execution.
- Partner with HRBP to derive divisional needs and to effectively deliver updates to ensure their divisions are aware of L&D curriculum.
- Support learners with Telenor Academy and other platforms licenses and access issues. Driving the leadership and future skills learning agenda.
- Facilitating or curating high-impact learning sessions for the organization
- Engaging with senior stakeholders to align programs with strategic business needs.
- Reviewing budgets, payments, and consultancy contracts.
- Monitoring program effectiveness through data and impact measurement.
- Preparing and sharing dashboards/reports with senior leadership.
- Collaborating with global L&D teams on flagship initiatives.
- Providing oversight on key operational processes for flawless program delivery.
Your Career Path
This role provides strong exposure to leadership and OD at both local and global levels. With demonstrated success, the role can lead vertically to senior OD or HRBP positions, or laterally into global/regional roles in leadership development, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
What we're looking for?
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree (BBA, BS in Psychology, or related). MBA (HRM/OD) preferred.
Work Experience: 6-8 years of relevant experience in L&D, with proven leadership development and stakeholder management expertise. Experience in measuring ROI of learning initiatives is preferred.
Certifications: Certifications in Leadership Development, Learning Analytics, Coaching, or Instructional Design will be an advantage.
Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:
- Strong business acumen with ability to link learning to strategy.
- Excellent facilitation and executive presence.
- Strong budgeting, reporting, and dashboarding skills.
- Knowledge of learning impact measurement frameworks (e.g., Kirkpatrick, ROI).
- Outstanding stakeholder management and consulting skills.
