Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Accounting & Operations Intern who is ready to take on responsibilities that extend beyond accounting. In this role, you will:

  • Prepare financial statements and perform journal entries
  • Work with accounting tools such as QBO and Zoho
  • Support day-to-day operations and sales processes
  • Assist with the management of live Upwork client projects alongside our international teams
  • Develop leadership and project management skills with a view to transitioning into a full-time Project Manager role after the initial 30 days

Training and Growth Path

  • Four weeks of unpaid training with basic necessities provided
  • Exposure to multiple departments including finance, operations, and sales
  • Performance review at 30 days based on pre-discussed metrics
  • Full-time onboarding upon meeting performance criteria, with a competitive salary and performance-based incentives

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in preparing financial statements and recording journal entries
  • Experience with accounting software such as QBO and Zoho
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Pursuing or holding a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an office setting
