About The Role
TEKHQS is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Security / Compliance Specialist
to strengthen our organization's security posture and ensure adherence to compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing access control, implementing compliance workflows, and driving continuous improvement across security policies and procedures.

You'll work closely with IT, HR, DevOps, and Management teams to ensure data integrity, security readiness, and regulatory alignment across the company's operations and client projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee access control management, ensuring proper authorization, provisioning, and de-provisioning of users across all systems and applications.
  • Maintain and improve the company's security posture, ensuring best practices in data protection, network security, and endpoint compliance.
  • Develop, document, and implement security and compliance policies, SOPs, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Conduct internal security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure security awareness and training programs are effectively executed across the organization.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely mitigation and documentation.
  • Maintain vendor risk assessments and ensure third-party tools meet compliance requirements.
  • Assist in client security questionnaires, compliance documentation, and audit preparation.
  • Support automation of compliance workflows for efficient tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure all onboarding and offboarding processes meet internal and external security requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Security, Compliance, or Risk Management.
  • Strong knowledge of access management systems, IAM principles, and security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIST).
  • Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools, compliance automation tools, and audit documentation.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and related compliance models.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Certifications like CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
