Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a polished and compelling final product. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video editing software, excellent creative skills, and a passion for visual storytelling. In addition to video editing, the candidate will also be responsible for managing and curating content for our social media platforms. As a Video Editor, you will collaborate with the creative team to bring the vision of the project to life while maintaining a high standard of quality. You'll be integral in developing engaging, shareable content across platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, ensuring that the content is tailored for each platform's audience and format. Additionally, experience with drone footage is required, as you'll be responsible for editing aerial shots to enhance the visual appeal of our projects and create unique, cinematic content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit video footage into polished, high-quality content that aligns with the project's objectives.
  • Work closely with the Director, Producer, and other team members to understand project goals, timelines, and creative vision.
  • Trim footage, add effects, transitions, music, and sound effects to enhance the final product.
  • Ensure that video content is formatted for a variety of platforms (YouTube, social media, TV, etc.).
  • Manage and organize video assets, ensuring all media is properly archived.
  • Collaborate on storyboarding and provide input on creative direction as needed.
  • Perform color correction, audio adjustments, and other post-production tasks to improve video quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with video editing trends, techniques, and technology to ensure content is fresh and engaging.
  • Deliver projects within deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the editing process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
  • Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Strong knowledge of video codecs, file formats, and digital media workflows.
  • Ability to work with various video resolutions and aspect ratios.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation (Adobe After Effects, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sound design and mixing is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing previous video editing work is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with photography and shooting techniques.
  • Experience in social media video formats and trends.
  • Knowledge of basic color grading techniques.
