Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator proficient in both Linux and Windows operating systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing and maintaining test environments, creating golden images for production deployment, and performing patching using InsightVM Vulnerability Management Tool. The role requires a deep understanding of system administration principles, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the capability to adapt to evolving technologies and environments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain both Linux and Windows operating systems in test environments.

  2. Develop and maintain standardized golden images for deployment in production environments.

  3. Perform regular patching and updates on systems according to the guidelines provided by InsightVM Vulnerability Management Tool.

  4. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal functionality.

  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system improvements and enhancements.

  6. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to system administration.

  7. Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and processes.

  8. Provide technical support and assistance to users as needed.

  9. Coordinates between Datacenter, Deployment and Development for patching.

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  2. Proven experience as a System Administrator with proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems.

  3. Experience in creating and managing golden images for production deployment.

  4. Demonstrated ability to perform patching and updates using InsightVM Vulnerability Management Tool or similar tools.

  5. Strong understanding of system administration principles, including networking, security, and performance optimization.

  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  7. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks is preferred.

  8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  10. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or similar are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

  2. Familiarity with containerization platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes.

  3. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

  4. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
