Job Title: System Administrator/Engineer

Location: Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi/Islamabad

Work Hours: 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM PST (Monday - Friday)

Position: Full-Time, On-site

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive System Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate

will be responsible for the comprehensive management, maintenance, and optimization of our organization's

critical IT systems and infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our

servers, networks, and applications, directly supporting business operations and ensuring continuous service

availability.

The System Administrator will be a hands-on technical expert, performing a wide range of tasks from routine

system monitoring and troubleshooting to implementing new technologies and developing robust disaster recovery

strategies. They will collaborate closely with other IT departments, including network and security teams, and

provide technical support to end-users, ensuring a seamless and productive computing environment.

Resourcefulness, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to best practices in IT operations are essential

for this role.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage and troubleshoot Servers, Active Directory, and line-of-business applications. Deploy and

maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure.

● Oversee client backup and recovery operations. Execute data restores, test disaster recovery plans, and

ensure client RPO/RTO targets are met.

● Administer client firewalls, including rule implementation, VPN configuration and enforcement of network

security policies.

● Serve as the first responder to RMM and security alerts, proactively monitoring client endpoints, servers,

and system patch compliance.

● Manage the full lifecycle of support incidents in the PSA/ticketing system, ensuring detailed

documentation and timely escalation.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

● 1-3 years of progressive IT experience with significant exposure to servers, networking, and cybersecurity.

● Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is highly desirable.

● Relevant certifications are a strong plus (e.g., CompTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA, Microsoft/Linux certs).

Technical Skills:

● Strong knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP etc).

● Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and experience configuring business-grade firewalls (e.g., Cisco,

Fortinet, SonicWall, etc.)

● Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and familiarity with cloud services (Microsoft

Azure, AWS).

● Understanding of backup methodologies (file-level vs. image-level), recovery scenarios, and concepts like

RPO/RTO.

MSP Platforms & Tools:

● Proficiency in leading RMM platform (e.g., ConnectWise, Datto RMM, Kaseya etc).

● Experience with Backup & Replication tools and familiarity with managing BDR appliances.

● Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and centralized antivirus consoles.

● Experience with PSA or ticketing platforms like Autotask, ConnectWise PSA, ServiceNow, or Jira.
