Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the overall QA strategy for grocery, fresh food, and FMCG categories.
  • Lead and mentor the QA team across stores, warehouses, and supplier locations.
  • Implement risk-based quality frameworks and ensure alignment with company goals.

2. Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with national food safety regulations, ISO standards, HACCP, and internal SOPs.
  • Oversee inspections, audits, and certifications across supply chain operations.
  • Manage corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).

3. Supplier Quality Management

  • Evaluate, onboard, and monitor suppliers for compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct supplier audits and review product specifications, testing reports, and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with procurement to improve supplier performance.

4. Store & Warehouse Quality Oversight

  • Ensure products meet quality guidelines related to storage, temperature, handling, and shelf-life.
  • Implement and monitor QA checklists for stores and distribution centers.
  • Lead investigations of quality complaints and product recalls.

5. Product Quality Assurance

  • Develop standards for fresh produce, dairy, meat, bakery, packaged foods, and household FMCG products.
  • Monitor product sampling, laboratory testing, and shelf-life evaluations.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for defective or non-compliant products.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Introduce best practices for product quality, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Review data analytics and trends to recommend process improvements.
  • Implement training programs for store, warehouse, and supplier teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Microbiology, or related field.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in QA within grocery, FMCG, or food retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and food regulations.
  • Experience managing multi-location QA operations and audits.

Key Skills

  • Supplier negotiation and vendor quality management.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and communication abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with large grocery chains or FMCG manufacturing.
  • Certification in ISO 22000, Lead Auditor, or HACCP Practitioner.

Pay: Rs400, Rs600,000.00 per month
