Job Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager supports the PMO in planning, coordinating, and executing projects to ensure timely delivery, within scope and budget. This role involves close collaboration with technical teams, clients, and stakeholders to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain documentation for smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and managing IT projects from initiation to closure.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations) to track deliverables.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, escalating risks or delays where necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and project plans.
  • Support the Project Manager in stakeholder communication and ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Assist in managing change requests, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks or blockers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements for project delivery and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (PMP/Prince2 certification is a plus).
  • Experience:
    1.5 – 2 years of experience in IT project coordination or management.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Understanding of IT systems and cloud or enterprise solutions.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Jira, or other project management tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and create reports for management.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Team players with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
