Location: Pakistan (Remote/Hybrid)

Position Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Architecture: Develop and implement IP network architectures to support telecom-grade applications and services in large-scale datacenter environments.

Landing Zone Deployment: Build and operationalize landing zones across bare metal and virtual machine stacks for core telecom platforms such as BSS, OCS, and Charging Systems.

Network Configuration: Configure and manage routing, switching, segmentation, and inter-zone communication to ensure secure, scalable, and high-availability network services.

Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure and architecture teams to define network topologies, firewall rules, VLANs, VRFs, and interconnectivity for both internal systems and external partners.

Implementation: Deploy and manage L2/L3 network components ensuring performance optimization, security hardening, and compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., data sovereignty, lawful intercept).

Integration Support: Ensure integration readiness for platform components such as CRM, Billing, OCS, Mediation, and Provisioning.

Automation: Support network automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or vendor-native solutions.

Troubleshooting: Provide deep-dive troubleshooting for IP-layer issues and optimize network performance, eliminating bottlenecks.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years in IP networking and infrastructure roles within telecom or large-scale datacenter environments.

Hands-On Skills:

Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF

Switching: VLANs, VRFs, STP

Firewalling: ACLs, NAT, VPN

Load balancers: L4–L7

Strong understanding of bare metal provisioning, virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM), and datacenter network design principles.

Proven experience building or supporting telecom workloads, specifically BSS, OCS, and Charging Systems.

Familiarity with telecom signaling protocols (Diameter, Radius) is an advantage.

Exposure to hybrid environments (physical infrastructure + private/public cloud) is preferred.

Excellent skills in documenting network architectures, diagrams, and IP schemas.
